Announcing our new:
We’re dreaming big and we can’t do it without you!
We believe that in living differently, we bear witness to the creative love of God at work in our world. This fall we're launching the Soil & Sabbath Fund, a pledge drive campaign aimed at raising $60,000 to care for creation and offer spaces of rest. Your pledge can help us do 2 important things in 2024:
Build New Animal Habitats: Your pledge will help us build bigger, better fenced in spaces for our sheep, goats, and chickens--essential members of our small-scale farm. We will double the space in the goats' main pens, sheep will receive new paddocks, and chickens will get a mobile coop for pasture grazing! The goats provide milk for our soaps (and cuteness!) while the sheep's grazing keeps us connected to our land. Rotating our chickens will increase soil health and the lives of our birds. With your help we can provide an improved level of care for these incredible creatures.
Fully Fund our New Sabbath 365 program: We're so excited to introduce the Sabbath 365 program, an initiative that will provide applicants with 365 free retreat nights in 2024! It’s a free guest room to persons needing an extended break to reconnect with God, themselves, community, and creation. We pray these opportunities will be a special encouragement to recipients, especially to the marginalized in our communities (including the weary, poor, isolated or discouraged clergy, and other socially marginalized groups). If you or someone you know could benefit from a sabbath stay on the farm, check out the application form here.
We’re so grateful for your support! Your contributions make a significant impact on the Heirloom community, and together we can continue care for creation and offer sabbath spaces to those who long for rest. To donate and be a part of this transformative journey, simply click here:
Introducing Sabbath 365
Sabbath 365 is our initative to give away 365 nights of free guest stays in 2024! Through our Soil & Sabbath Fund, we’re raising the support we need to offer rest to those who need it most. Donate to the fund and help us reach our goal!
If you or someone you know someone who could use a stay at Heirloom for up to 4 weeks, they can fill out the application here. We’re especially prioritizing BIPOC, LGBTQ community members, and those in helping professions (including pastors).
